Chapter 7

1.       Does objectivity still exist in the media's coverage of politics?  Of the major news outlets (CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, NPR, NBC, etc.), which are the most objective and which seem to have the most bias? I think that objectivity still exist in the media’s coverage.  In my opinion CNN and Fox News are the most bias.  My family and I don’t really watch any other news other than CNN and Fox News.

2. How does talk radio (Rush Limbaugh, Keith Olbermann, etc.) affect your view of politics?  Why? In all honestly, I don’t listen to Rush Limbaugh, Keith Olbermann, or anyone else on talk radio. So it does not affect my view on politics.

3. Is media objectivity important?  Why or why not?  I think media objectivity is important.  Reason being, that media is everywhere. Rather it be on tv, radio, social networks, etc. Its seen by so many people.

  1. Great job, I agree with you when you said that you don't listen to said people, really you don't have to listen to anyone to form an opinion or to have a view on politics.

  3. I agree you on CNN. It is like they always argue on there. There are always opinions being thrown around instead of just facts. I think you are right when you said objectivity still exist, but I think it is hard to find it. Politics are not my favorite topic, and I definitely do not like getting in conversations or debate about politics.

  4. I noticed that you stated that you don't watch or listen to news. And I'm just wondering where you get your views on politics and issues? It's important for everyone to be involved in the government in some way. I encourage you to find an interesting way to get involved so you're better informed. In fairness, politics can be boring to some people and there are heated moments, but it can be very exciting.

    1. I agree that everyone should be involved in the government in some way. However, you apparently don't have a child. I'm sure any parent of small children will agree, you don't get the chance to watch the news or anything you would like to watch. At my house, we watch the Disney Channel. My dad and grandpa keep me informed and also, if I get the chance I get info on the internet.

  5. I also do not listen to political news radio so it really doesn't influence my opinion on political and social issues. But i definitely believe that media objectivity still has strong presence in today's news media.
